Care at Home Volunteer Training Class

Tufts Medicine Care at Home provides care and support to enhance the quality of life for patients, families and caregivers wherever they call home.

Register today

Volunteers are needed for:

  • Visiting with patients in our Hospice House, private homes, nursing homes and residential communities
  • Providing companionship such as listening to patient’s hopes, fears, feelings and memories, or reading, playing board games or listening to music
  • Providing respite for caregivers
  • Providing specialty services such as Reiki, massage, hairstylist, or pet therapy
  • Playing music in our Hospice House

Our thorough four-week training will prepare you to bring peace, comfort and relief to those facing end of life.

  • Training Class 1: Tuesdays, 4 – 6 pm; March 18 – April 8, 2025
  • Training Class 2: Saturdays, 9 – 11 am; June 7 – 28, 2025
  • Training Class 3: Mondays, 3 – 5 pm; September 8 – 29, 2025
