It has been a year filled with hardship as we remember the lives claimed by this pandemic. But as we mourn the losses, we celebrate the nearly 1,600 COVID patients who trusted us with their care and went home to their families.
And now as we heal as a community, we feel a sense of hope with each vaccine dose we provide. Backed by the strength of our tireless nurses, providers and staff, and supported by the aid of hundreds of community volunteers, our Mass Vaccination Program set an ambitious goal of putting 3,000 shots in arms every day to help stop community spread and they made it happen.
We recently provided our 100,000th dose and we continue to inspire hope by ensuring that no individuals are left behind. By working together, we continue to reach our most underserved and vulnerable populations each and every day.
In honor of National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week, we honor and thank all the staff at Lowell General Hospital for rising to the challenge when our community needed you most. Through spirit and tenacity, you have touched countless lives and the compassion you have shown in our community’s darkest days will never be forgotten.
