MelroseWakefield Hospital's Emergency Department is a Level III accredited Trauma Center and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer:

- A triage and fast-track area so patients can be treated as efficiently as possible
- A modern imaging suite with CT scanners and X-ray capabilities
- Neurology and neurosurgery services to evaluate and consult on your symptoms

When emergency cardiac care is needed, we are the only hospital in the area that offers an on-site cardiac catheterization lab (a procedure that opens blocked arteries and limits heart damage).
