Lowell General Hospital Ball for Community Health Initiatives

Raising funds to improve access to care and address health inequities in our community.

Advancing Health Equity: The 2024 Lowell General Hospital Ball

The Lowell General Hospital Ball for Community Health Initiatives, held on March 9, 2024, at the InterContinental Boston, was a remarkable gathering of healthcare professionals, community leaders and supporters from the Merrimack Valley. Together, they raised an impressive $35,620 for the Greater Lowell Health Alliance’s NaviGate program, an initiative dedicated to addressing health inequities and improving behavioral health access and education.

The NaviGate program was selected as the Fund a Need recipient because of its vital role in tackling the behavioral health challenges highlighted in the 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment. Funds raised will support community health fairs offering onsite care and screenings, and learning conferences aimed at strengthening the behavioral health workforce.

Since its inception in 2006, the Lowell General Hospital Ball has stood as a testament to the hospital’s commitment to community well-being, with support from its medical staff and local partners. This year's event was co-chaired by Drs. Miret Ibrahim and Allen Hwang, who brought their leadership and dedication to the cause.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this event a success and advancing health equity in the Greater Lowell area.
