The Survey of Well-being of Young Children (SWYC)™ is a freely available, comprehensive screening instrument for children under 5 years of age. The SWYC was written to be simple to answer, short, and easy to read.

The entire instrument requires 15 minutes or less to complete and is straightforward to score and interpret. The SWYC is approved by MassHealth for compliance with the Children's Behavioral Health Initiative screening guidelines.

The Comenzo laboratory is focused on the investigation of clonal plasma cell diseases  with emphases on multiple myeloma and systemic light-chain (AL) amyloidosis. Our core projects are assessing the risk of progressing to AL from smoldering multiple myeloma, analyzing the cytologic and molecular changes in normal tissue in response to immunoglobulin light chains and deposits of amyloid, and the development of novel therapeutics that target and clear pathologic light chains.

The 2-year Clinical Track is designed to orient fellows towards careers in clinical nephrology. Drawing on the strengths of Tufts Medical Center as both a quaternary-care referral center and a community resource, fellows are exposed to the spectrum of nephrology consultations including acute kidney injury, electrolyte and acid/base disorders, chronic kidney disease, and dialysis.

The Chen lab develops novel imaging methods to understand mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, to image disease as it progresses and to improve cardiovascular outcomes by targeting or monitoring therapies using molecular imaging. He is applying these novel technologies to heart failure and cardio-oncology.
