You power our purpose

All you need is a little bit of time and the drive to make a difference. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, experiences and skill sets. We have a place for everyone looking to volunteer: hospitals, private homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, special projects and fundraising events.

Simply commit to sharing your time, and we’ll provide any necessary training for your perfect role, including:  

  • Assisting in the emergency department
  • Assisting with discharges
  • Escorting patients  
  • Offering smiles and support in our gift shops and cafeterias
  • Providing wayfinding assistance through our ambassador program
  • Visiting with patients and families 
  • Providing respite and companionship during end-of-life
  • Packing groceries for those in need

Sometimes the most important gift we can give is our time. By volunteering at one or several of our hospitals and organizations, you’re making an impact in your community — and letting our community make an impact on you.

Ways to Give - Tribute + Memorial Giving

A gift to remember

The most meaningful gifts can’t be wrapped. Consider a tribute or memorial gift in the name of a loved one as a unique way to celebrate a person, milestone or holiday with something bigger than a box. Imagine the power of making someone you care about part of our legacy.

For tribute gifts, we suggest including the message, “In lieu of gifts, donations in honor of [individual name or occasion] can be made to [hospital name]” on invitations and other correspondence.

For memorial gifts, we suggest inscribing, “In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to [hospital name]” in the obituary and on funeral cards. 

No matter which program you choose to support, you’ll be helping us to provide compassionate care for your friends, family and community.

From giving fresh flowers for healing patients to gift certificates for employee events, your in-kind gifts help expand our resources and make people smile. We accept a variety of goods and services including:

  • New and unused care items such as travel-size toothbrushes, toothpaste and soaps
