Join us for our 3-part series where we'll guide you through the different stages and phases of labor, share helpful comfort techniques, discuss pain management options, and cover common medical interventions. We'll also chat about postpartum recovery and adjusting to parenthood and connect you with local parenting resources. During our in-person session you'll get a tour of our labor and delivery unit. Our classes meet on weekday evenings 3 times—twice online and once face-to-face. We really encourage you to join us for all three classes in the series.You will receive a link to join remote classes (session 1 + 2).The in-person class will take place at MelroseWakefield Hospital in Perkins Lecture Hall (session 3).Weekdays aren't the best for you? Good news! We also offer this class over one weekend—both Saturday and Sunday. Don't worry, the material is exactly the same, just spread out over the sessions differently.

It fosters a positive environment where individuals can find motivation and practical tips for their weight loss journey. Get support from peers, embrace your new lifestyle, set goals, talk nutrition and learn new recipes.

Are you having your hip or knee replaced?Join us for a free, one-hour informational session to learn what you need to know about your hip or knee replacement surgery. Classes are taught by nurse leaders from the orthopedic center, surgical services and the case management team. We will address your questions and cover topics such as surgery preparation, hospital stay expectations, discharge planning and day-to-day recovery. Located at Lowell General Hospital – Main Campus (295 Varnum Avenue Lowell, MA 01854) in the Hanchett Auditorium. There is also an evening class available. The November 6 classes will be held in the Wallace Boardroom.

Topics include:Problem solving approachManaging impulsive eatingUnderstanding emotional eatingMindfulnessPlease join psychologist Dr. Paul O’Brien Ed.D as he leads patients through this journey into better understanding eating habits and how to effectively manage habits and behaviors for success. This support group will meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 4-5 pm.
